Community Outreach andEnrollment Manager

As the Community Outreach and Enrollment Manager, I crafted and implemented strategic marketing and communication plans to attract students and volunteers to free math and reading tutoring programs in Washington, D.C. My efforts led to an automated enrollment process, resulting in 180 student applications and 167 qualified volunteer applications. Consequently, we successfully enrolled 85% of student applicants and 72% of volunteer applicants.

  • Team Leadership: Coached and managed a coordinator and two collegiate interns to expand programmatic and outreach initiatives.

  • DEI Best Practices: Advised leadership on diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and led the restructuring of the Outreach and Enrollment department.

Interim Director of Programs and Community Outreach

During the Program Director's absence, I assumed the role of Interim Director, overseeing two departments. My responsibilities included:

  • Team Supervision: Managed a team of two program managers and two program coordinators.

  • Daily Scrum Meetings: Implemented daily scrum meetings to strategize project tasks, address obstacles, monitor progress, and track outcomes.

  • Cross-Training: Prioritized cross-training to broaden team understanding of various program facets, fostering new skills in project management and customer service.
